I had some doubts as it’s much smaller than our old k machine. I thought no way was it going to do all it says! Well it does! I just made a delicious iced coffee! Finally I can make an iced coffee without using instant! It’s awesome! My husband has made several cups with k cups and I just used the ground. Works perfectly both ways. Clean up is pretty easy as well but I did use a paper filter in the permafilter. I’ve heard it could be considered loud but I would say it’s no louder than any other coffee machine. It’s going to make some noises. In this case it’s odd chirping noises but it still isn’t loud. I do recommend this machine to anyone who just wants a cup of coffee. :)
I had a nearly 20-year-old Keurig--one of the original models. I've had no problems with it, but after tasting a k-cup at a friend's house, I realized my ancient Keurig wasn't making coffee as strong as it should.I was tempted to replace it with the latest Keurig, but I've also heard that they rarely last more than 2-3 years these days, which would be a huge disappointment after the old one lasted so long.Being a fan of Ninja, I decided to give this a try.Pros:- makes good coffee- water reservoir is huge- you can brew with grounds even though I won't use that feature often- my old keurig had a stage where there was a loud hum as it would start pumping water from the reservoir into the heater tank. Best I can tell is this heats the water as it dispenses it, and is super quiet.Cons:- 12oz is the max brew size. I wish it had a 14oz for when using a larger travel mug.- Is the milk frother really necessary? It's nice that it comes off for cleaning, but I think it'd look more sleek without.
I am 100% a coffee snob. I have the expensive Breville barista express espresso maker that lives on my counter. I was craving something a little bit simpler that didn’t take as much time or effort for those busy mornings with four kids under the age of eight, but without having the terrible taste of a single cup coffee pod. Through all of my research, I landed on this ninja and I love that I can make one cup of coffee with real coffee grounds and it taste spectacular even when I do the over ice. We have had a Keurig coffee pot over the years where you can brew it over ice, but it was very mild and just didn’t taste right so I was skeptical to make iced coffee with this at first but now it’s my new go to during every busy morning. I’ve also loved it so much that I’ve actually sent this many friends as I have so that they can all buy one too because it’s that good.
I purchased this product a few months ago to replace my old Hamilton Beach drip coffee maker. I read a lot of the reviews before making my final decision. Thankfully, I have not experienced any of the various issues mentioned in the comments. I use pre-made pods about once a week but the primary use is loose ground coffee. This machine works great with either pods or grounds. I use the “rich” brew option for loose grounds and I use the “special” brew option for the pods when making a latte. Both methods have worked perfectly. I wash the reservoir and inserts daily because I feel that eliminates problems that with I have read in the comments. I have recommended this product to many friends. I would certainly buy this coffee machine again.
Love the versatility of this coffee maker. I love the frother attachment. Some great things about this coffee maker. The drip tray is adjustable for different sizes of cups. I have a small tea cup to travel mugs all fit with the ability to keep sprays to a minimum. K- cup and basket, I used the basket for loose leaf tea and coffee grounds. The basket can be left empty and doesn't create a mess. The K-cup work for everything "Keurig" compatible. I love that you can adjust the water distribution ounces, more options with the basket. I have only used the classic mode and rich. I don't notice a big difference. I'm sure I would if I were making something more espresso like.Average size but sleek. I store mine under my cabinet on a countertop and can still fill the reservoir easily.
