These machines are incredible I have this in my Airbnb rental along with an avigator espresso machine. It's crazy how great the quality of these are for a lower price than the name brands. I used to have your traditional pod machine but my place sleeps 12 people and you can imagine 12 people going to make coffee one by one. A pot was a much better solution but I didn't want to just throw some garbage coffee into a paper filter in a $20 machine. I wanted my gas to experience amazing coffee like espresso or drip coffee but quick and convenient because no one is going to become a master Barista while staying at an Airbnb. This was the perfect solution to that. Everyone knows that coffee is best fresh ground but I wasn't expecting my gas to learn how to grind their own but with this machine all they have to do is literally push one button and everything is done for them. It does take longer than a traditional coffee maker because that's just the nature of drip coffee but you are left with some of the best tasting coffee you've ever had specially if you are using quality beans. I can't recommend this machine enough and I will definitely be getting another one for my house.
If you love coffee, you will probably like this Avigator Coffee Maker with Grinder.Until I spotted this on Amazon I had never seen anything quite like it.But be forewarned. This is a larger coffee maker than you might think. The product listing shows the WRONG item dimensions. Under "measurements" they claim it is 6.7"D x 0.72"W x 5"H. Under "Item details" they claim the "item height" is 5 inches. All of these dimensions are incorrect. (One of the photos -- if you happen to click on it -- shows the real dimensions, but this is confusing because the text in the product description lists the wrong size). It is a large item, actually measuring about 17 inches tall, 7 inches wide and 11 inches deep. You can see the size in the photo I've attached, taken right after I took it out of the box.It has a feature called Aroma Select. This is a bit strange because it implies a user wants to be able to control the intensity of the smell of the coffee as it is brewing. I've never heard of that. But what this feature actually does is allow you to set the fineness of the way it grinds coffee beans (which you put in a container on top). So you can have mild, rich or classic. You first fill the type of coffee beans you want (not included) in the top, then remove the water reservoir on the back and fill it with water. It is marked so you know how much water to put in it depending on how many cups you want. Then you place the reservoir back into position on the back of the machine. Next, you set the controls on the front. This is where you need to definitely read the instructions because someone who is not computer literate might be a bit confused. However, once you understand how to do it, it's pretty routine. It has a clear digital read-out of the controls and buttons are plainly marked. There is also a handy self-clean feature that I have not yet tried. It's fun to watch the coffee beans slide down a little incline and into the grinder on top, then hear it operate and smell the fragrance of the freshly ground beans. Soon the water will start pouring into the carafe and your coffee will be ready to drink. I think a lot of people will enjoy the ritual of this process. One big convenience is that this has a timer you can set that will automatically turn on and brew the amount of coffee you want so it is ready for you on your schedule. So, for instance, you could set it up so there are two cups of coffee waiting for you every morning when you awaken. A heating plate under the glass carafe will keep it warm for about a half hour. You can brew up to 5 cups maximum at one time.I would say this equipment is for someone who truly cares about having a good cup of coffee. If you are accustomed to being in a hurry and just heating hot water in the microwave and dumping a spoon or two of instant coffee into your cup and then stirring it, you may not be interested in a coffee maker this sophisticated. But it operates quickly and efficiently and the freshness and taste of the brew really cannot be beat. You can even grind the coffee beans in advance and have them waiting for the next brew to start, plus they include in the box a coffee scoop (though I don't know why you would need one). Also included is a brush to help clean it and five coffee filters to get you started.I think this would make a nice gift for someone whom you know likes coffee...or a gift to yourself. It appears to be a good value for a reasonable price and I'm enjoying it. You will be the envy of any serious coffee drinker when they see this!
I really wanted to love this coffee maker. The built-in grinder is fantastic—easy to use, with good options for adjusting grind size. The controls overall are simple, and I appreciate the customization choices for temperature, aroma strength, and cup size. The programmable timer is also a nice touch for busy mornings. However, the brewing part has been a constant issue. It leaks almost every time I use it, and I can’t figure out where the leak is coming from. I’ve checked the reservoir, the carafe placement, and the filter area, but no matter what I do, I end up with water or coffee under the machine. It really takes away from the convenience this product is supposed to offer.Cleaning is fairly easy with the self-cleaning modes, and I like that the reservoir and carafe are removable. The included accessories are helpful, too.Overall, the grinder works great, but the leaking during brewing makes it hard to recommend. If the manufacturer fixes that issue, this would be an excellent machine. As it stands, it’s just okay.
A great all in one choice for a 1 or 2 person household, I'm really enjoying this coffee maker. However I do feel it has some slightly missed marks. I took a star off because it is loud as it brews, the timer is a countdown style so you have to calculate how much time to set it and the carafe/pot is smaller so it will not be suitable for larger groups. None of these things impacts the coffee itself and as a coffee maker it did a fantastic job.Its very versatile, the selections are there to make your coffee however which way you like your coffee. I enjoy both cold brew and hot brew, and I love that this machine does both. I enjoyed playing around with the grind settings and temps, and just getting great coffee no matter what combo I chose. The water tank is easy to remove and fill. It comes with filters, they do instruct the edges to be folded before you fit it and thats necessary because when I didn't I had some condensation and slight drip on the basket. The instructions were easy enough to follow and they tell you how to remove and clean all the parts. Cleaning is easy and setup was quick. The entire unit is quite tall and may be an issue fitting under a cabinet for some people. You will need to access the top if you grind your own coffee beans and the back to remove and fill the water tank, so that's a consideration to make when closing a location for it.The preset "cups" were also an adjustment, here I've been telling my doctor I drink 1 cup a day and with this machine I had to make 3 "cups" to get my usual quantity lol. I now use the mug option and thats a bigger serving.Overall an impressive machine that gives a wide variety of coffee making options for any level coffee lover. Everything on it seems well made and sturdy, good quality and it does have a warranty as well.Review for: Avigator Programmable 5 Cup Coffee Maker with Grinder Built In, Automatic Drip Coffee Machine with Timer, Removable Tank, Glass Carafe and Hot Plate

So this avigator coffee maker with grinder and timer is nice. Don’t get me wrong it’s really cool that it grinds and then makes coffee. The coffee is fresh and delicious. The price is just way too much for what it is. It’s only holds 5 cups. Honestly if you’re like me have one or two cups in the morning and enjoy fresh beans. This is the coffee pot for you! Also if you buy whole sale beans and a big box store m. You wouldn’t have to wait in line to grind your beans. Fresh beautifully smelling beans every morning. I just feel like for the price if I bought a grinder and coffee machine it’d be cheaper and take up less counter space. It is very easy to use and pick your settings and it has a timer. I wish it was a cheaper and smaller. Other than that it’s nice!
